I'd rather have that than having high school students toting guns around campus.
I'll pass on that.

Edited by Gaara444: 8/30/2013 12:41:20 AMEver notice how mass shootings in public spaces has gone up with the rise of making a "safer environment" for the public? Back in the day, Johnny could tote his gun around campus and the only thing the principle would do is shoot the shit with him on how that was a mighty fine rifle. Also notice how back in the day, school shootings were rare to non-existent. I'm pretty sure that was more than just a coincidence.
-
Do we have any evidence to support that the larger presence of firearms was the deterrent of school shootings?
-
Well we have the evidence that the smaller presence hasn't helped, and we have the evidence of the fact that in the Ye Old Times, the number of shootings was lower before we started to ban firearms and crack down on making public areas "gun free".
-
Right, but isn't it possible that people just...didn't shoot up schools back then? Regardless of who had guns?
-
Edited by Gaara444: 8/30/2013 1:03:50 AMYes that much is true, unfortunately guns have taken the blame for deranged people. And unfortunately it seems that even if we were to remove crazy people, people are to afraid of guns to be around them even with trusted people. Soon, our school cops wont be allowed to carry guns on campus because concerned mothers are afraid it will traumatize their 18 year old Senior child.

Lol did hear about that story how that kid got suspended for eating his pop-tart into a gun-shape? And that girl who got suspended over a hello-kitty bubble gun? Frkn ridiculous man..
-
High school students are incredibly irrational and emotional. Giving them guns all guns would probably result in several deaths a day.
-
smh, idiocy.
-
We're talking about people here who smoke random materials and choke themselves to death to get high, cause each other to commit suicide on a regular basis, and will stir he slightest controversy to the point of violence. Do you honestly think it's a good idea to make it easier for them to kill one another?

Read my edit to the OP, and realize why I thought your response was idiotic.
Question: When another Adam Lanza comes into your class with an AR15, you'd rather no one be armed? Don't go full retard.
Seems directly contradictory to your OP.
-
How? You do realize Sandy Hook was a gun free zone, right? smh.
-
How? You do realize Sandy Hook was a gun free zone, right? smh.
There'd be no need to shoot up the school if you gave guns to freaking elementary students. Everyone would be already dead.
-
Again, I refer you to the edit in my OP. Are you slow?
-
Question: When another Adam Lanza comes into your class with an AR15, you'd rather no one be armed? Don't go full retard.
The above post explicitly implies arming students.
-
I asked whether it would be better if no one should be armed to protect the kids... Not, "we should arm children". You really are slow...
-
"No one" usually implies that there would or should normally be more than one person. However, there's only one teacher in the room, leading to the conclusion that children should be armed.
-
See what I did there?
-
"No one" aka "not one?" You must be a troll, no one can be this slow.. I'm done here.
-
Sounds like you admit defeat. Better edit your posts before anyone else sees.
-
Yup. Troll. I need to get better at spotting you guys.. my trolldar is weak af lol

Yet somehow in the 40's and 50's that never happened. I blame concerned mothers and the lack of common sense from the more liberal youth of today. Millennials are a terrible generation.
