Or, we can get rid of ESO's subscription fee instead, because I doubt MS will agree to this. And even if they do, nobody's going to just have ESO as their only game, making the whole system irrelevant. Basically, P2P ESO is a terribad idea and it's going to tank miserably.

  • I dunno. The issue with Free-to-play is the micro-transactions, they're trying to make you feel like you're missing out on a part of the game and you "have" to pay that 5 or 10$. Now here's the way I look at it, with monthly fees your locked into a price you'll know will never change, you can budget for said fees because they're predictable. However micro-transactions aren't that predictable, sure they're usually not too expensive (depending) but that adds up. Even if you were to only spend 2$ a week with F2P, at the end of the year you're only saving 70$ compared to the P2P. If you were to just spend 5$ a week you would nearly be spending 100$ more than the P2P. With F2P you have the chance of spending more in a shorter amount of time than you would with P2P. Now you could just not buy anything but they're basically made so that you will buy them but it all depends on the game, however.
