2 RepliesKinda not, in Final Fantasy XI the Auction House can trivialize a lot of weapons and items because if you have cash, there's practically nothing you can't buy. The good thing though, is that there are Rare and EX variants of items. Rares are of course rare, and you can carry several of them and they usually sell for more money. EX variants mean you can only hold one variant of an item, and it can not be traded, sold through your own private bazaar, or sold to shops. It can be plain discarded though. If Destiny has a system like that that allows a lot of things to be sold through an auction house, but there are variants that keep some rare items out of it through the EX method, then I would support it. But if no system like that is in place, it will heavily ruin the game.

1. Only if it works. 2. Only if there is a back up NPC shop system, just somewhere where you will definitely be able to sell something for a decent price.

I really hope not. It ruined Diablo 3. It makes the items you find on your own adventures worthless. You just end up playing the auction house instead of the game to improve your character.
