I am not expecting destiny to be grand theft auto so my expectations aren't as high when it comes to the activities. I'm more interested to see just how much bungie has grown and how many new and refreshed ideas were played with and incorporated, how they incorporated all that knowledge. I guess im looking to see just what we should expect from bungie now that they no longer have Microsoft. I feel destiny will show how much potential there is to bungie surviving as a brand.

I kind of disagree. While I don't expect it to be GTA either, I also don't think Bungie is just trying to survive the FPS genre. They speak as though they will redefine expectations for FPS for all future games. They definitely did this in Halo several times (system link multiplayer, forge mode, theatre and game recording, friends list, custom game types, etc), so I'm just waiting to see what new feature(s) will redefine the genre.

To disagree just a little i think the focus is and has always been on the expansion and inclusion of the community experience. I think they're sell is lets make games that everyone Wants to play together, maybe something like what journey did. I also just as interested in just how much exploration is really included are we talking mass effect like with fully developed individual planets. I haven't read or watched every piece of bungie media so im just spewing my opinion.
