As a western Christian, I agree. It always makes me uncomfortable when I hear somone I know talk about persecution here in the UK, because it's almost non-existant. We are not in fear for our lives, our possessions or our human rights. I'd say we're doing pretty good.
Edit: Others do make a point though, how should we define persecution? Is it not the same as discrimination? I'm no law student so I can't really answer that question, but I'm still inclined to not use the term "persecution" lightly.
