The armor looks horrible. I hear Pitfall pales in comparison to The Pit and how it played. Richocet apparently has too much cover everywhere.
The only good thing I guess is the Steampunk skins, which I got the chance to use. Battle Rifle, Light Rifle and Carbine look fantastic, but I'm not wasting my money on some weapon skins.
There is absolutely no reason to buy this.

Pitfall and The Pit are pretty much the exact same map. In Legendary Slayer and Classic slayer, it plays just like Halo 3's version, but it flows even better in Halo 4.

Legendary Slayer needs BR starts. At least they are adding it in soon, but that is something which should have been added at the start when the playlist was put in rotation. Another sign of incompetence from 343. Just like they promised Legendary Slayer to be at launch. Too bad Legendary Slayer isn't Halo 4's main playlist. No number of fine tuning can adapt The Pit to permanent sprint. A testament to that is Ragnarok.
-
Incompetence? You know, it's funny how the "Hardcore" community beg and cry for classic/legendary playlist, but when it actually comes to the game, it's the lowest played playlist. If Infinity Slayer was a side playlist and Legendary slayer was a main (I hate Infinity, BTW.) then Infinity Slayer would still have many more players. Also, Sprint is just fine in Pitfall, you're just being incredibly critical about.
-
No it would not. Trust me. Nobody plays Legendary Slayer because it's all AR starts. It's fine on some maps, but not on every single goddamn one.
-
Pitfall is near identical and just as fun as ever. Ricochet is fun as hell.
-
That's not what I've heard. Competitively it plays like shit compared to Halo 3. I knew sprint would ruin that map the moment it was announced.
-
That's not what I heard.
Everyone is bound to their opinion, who says it's correct/incorrect? Find a buddy who has it, play it, and decide from there. I mean if you're going to side on one end without even experiencing it then why bother deciding at all?

The people that told me have a great sense in what makes Halo competitive. He's a really good player as well, I trust his judgement.
-
Of course everyone would follow someone they trust. If my friend told me the maps sucked I'd probably shy away from it. They too have a great sense of competitive halo. If I wasn't doing YouTube I'd probably not bother. However, I played and enjoyed it. My friends did as well. You need to take everything with a grain of salt. If they told you to buy the WiiU, move to Mexico, and jump of a bridge, would you follow them by the leash too. One's opinion of something may not exactly equal what you experience/expected
-
I already had a feeling that it would be hyped up and fail to deliver, which with Halo 4 mechanics was bound to happen. I've seen gameplay, didn't call my attention. I talked to some people, they were unimpressed or said it was mediocre. Why would I spend my money then?
-
Well up to now you seemed to have only going off of the opinions of your friends, other than the cosmetics and stuff. That's what you're saying. Now you're saying you originally saw it and it didn't appeal to you. It makes sense then. You wouldn't buy something YOU looked into and didn't like, not letting someone guide you by a leash.

Hasn't for me.
