Listen man, that list is shit. It's pretty much based off of two things: whether or not the game is a franchise, and the number of sales. On Wikipedia there's a link that rates it as 17, not even remotely close. That ranking was from IGN too, which is much more reputable and well respected. Every single series on that list has had at LEAST one game that's an all time classic except Pokemon. As for the number of sales (which I will concede Pokemon sells a shit ton of games), it's a Nintendo exclusive, which means two separate things. It doesn't exactly have a whole lot of competition because AAA games from other console don't really make it onto the wii, and it's played by little ass kids. The guy even says in the article he was "beside my 12 year old self with joy" over Pokemon. Zelda and Mario brothers carried the early NES console, and N64 too. That's the reason they've sold a ton, and are looked at as classic games. The other games on that list (halo, metal gear, final fantasy, and GTA) have all had games that were groundbreaking or innovating games. Pokemon definitely isn't groundbreaking or innovating
