Its takes time for a game to become classic. I'm sure in a few years games like Halo Reach and Gears of War 3 will be "classics" despite the flaws in each, just as games like Halo 3 and Cod 4 have become.

No, Halo Reach is not a "classic". I think Halo Reach will be buried. Halo 1-3 will eventually get an HD trilogy but Reach will be left on the wayside.

Cod 4. NO.

Care to explain why instead of just a 3 word response?
-
No they won't. They never will.

And you think with the problems Halo 3 had it ever should have been classic? Things like the underpowered ar that made those that got the br first in slayer the automatic winners that couldn't defend themselves off spawn? And the br that failed to register under lag because of bungie's decision to make it projectile based? How about Cod 4 where there was the severe lack of post-launch support (only one map pack and no balancing patches), and game breaking perks like juggernaut, matrydom, and last stand existed along with glitched frags that killed anywhere in their radius? Do you think games like that deserve to exist as "classics"? Nostalgia and the progression of time eventually blinds all to the truth of the past. People just like you were saying the same thing about Cod 4 and Halo 3 back in those days, and look where we are now.

Preach the truth my man.

You don't know that. Nobody knew COD 4 would be a classic.
