You know in her most recent video, I have this to say yet again.
She is obviously pretending that metroid DOESN'T EXIST. She clearly wants a video game with a female protagonist on an adventure what doesn't include a damsel of any kind, male or female. Sounds like Metroid to me.

Edited by The Great DanTej: 8/4/2013 10:07:53 AMjust throwing this out there, touhou project has hundreds of characters, and all but 3 or so of them are girls. and they also happen to fit that criteria quite nicely.

One example isn't all that great, it's like a bully saying that his victim should be happy because he didn't take his lunch money one time.

How about Tomb Raider? Another example. And of course she wants more, but you'd think a "critic" would recognize these series' do exist, and not just stick to the example of super princess peach

Do you really think she's saying that all video games are sexist and that there are no examples of video games that have a woman as the central protagonist but don't succumb to sexist stereotyping of her? Do you really think that's her thesis here?

Clearly not -_-

Then do you think one example is enough? I'm sure I could live off of one hundred calories per day for awhile, but I think I'd want a little more.

Then what's the point of your complaint? Do you think she should mention every major video game ever made to evaluate whether or not it portrays women in a negative way?

If I was reviewing a game, which in general sucks, but does have a number of good parts, I make sure to mention that it does and give a number of examples. I'm sure the same could be said for what she does.

I really don't think this is at all the same thing as reviewing a game, but, regardless, her original plan did include an episode on good examples of female characters, which I assume is still planned. Keep in mind that this is probably going to be a fairly long video series - she's not trying to peg the entire industry in twenty minutes.
