Way to pull a statistic out of your ass. Actually, the unaffiliated/none religious category comprises around 17% of the population currently, and is growing very quickly.

It was an over exaggeration which serves a purpose. It still is around 75-85% and the statistics were taken by surveys across around 50,000 people. Those are highly subject to change every time there is a survey but I do agree that the none religious category is growing, which is great. I think you absolutely missed the point of my post, I'm an atheist but I just don't see families dropping their religion. Islam is on the rise in the US, Christianity is slowly dwindling down (but still not enough to make an impact, at all), and even minor religions like Mormonism are on the rise. Only a dolt would sit there and think the statistics will reverse suddenly based off of a statistic rising.
