Auriels Bow? Auriels Shield? Eye of Magnus? Staff of Magnus? Heart of Lorkhan?
What sort of evidence are you actually after? Interaction?

Edited by Seggi: 7/24/2013 10:54:22 PMYeah, I'm looking more along the lines of direct interaction (but any evidence that really couldn't be the result of human or daedric interference is good) - it's easy enough for people to enchant items, after all.

Ah ok. Well apart from Akatosh at the end of Oblivion maybe Wulf from Morrowind? I'm sure there were other avatars as well. I think the idea is that the Aedra simply can't affect Nirn as much as the Daedra because they were weakened in a sense from creating it. That's the impression I got anyway.

Ok, but how do we know that Wulf really was an avatar of Tiber Septim?

Hmmm..... not sure to be honest. How about Talos ascending to godhood? He definitely ascended after being a mortal man....

How do we know?

Ah OK I see what you mean. Personally I am just not going to over think it. The Aedra exist because everyone in game say they do and all the shrines and aedra artifacts like Auriels Bow and Akatosh at the end of Oblivion.

Oh wait. What about Sovngarde?
-
What about it?

You don't actually see any deities in Sovngarde, you only see Nord warriors from the past, and of course, Alduin. Going to Sovngarde is proof of at least one sort of afterlife in the TES world, but it doesn't prove the existence of the Divines.

Yep, those are my thoughts. For comparison, Hircine, a daedra, has an afterlife of its own, so this definitely isn't something that's exclusive to aedra, even if they do exist.
