It seems like people gave it a bunch of hate when it first launched, but how do you feel now that it's been a while?
I can't lie. When it first came out I was very thrown off. The gameplay felt slower and it took me a good amount of time to hone my skills at it. The armor abilities made the multiplayer less competitive, and that greatly contrasted with Halo 3's fast paced feel.
But...
Stricken with a mixture of boredom, curiosity, and nostalgia I decided to pop in Reach for the first time in a year or so the other day. I was stunned by how well the game had held up! The ridiculous amount of armor customization, the familiar maps, and great music all drew me back in. The vehicular battles are awesome to watch and take part in. The amount of gametypes is great. Not to mention the gametype customization.
I now see that Reach was a very community supportive game. All of the maps aren't really meant to support a hyper competitive atmosphere, but are designed to advocate large-scale fun.
Seeing all the features that were discontinued since then is sort of sad. Firefight, great infection variants, and even invasion would've made for great additions to Halo 4. For those of you that haven't played it in a while, I suggest you give it a shot. The community is still thriving!

Halo: Reach is better than 4.
