Problem. Traveling 2000+ miles in 2 minutes would require acceleration far beyond the tolerance of the human body. About 16 Gs

Top speed is 4,000 mph. It would have to accelerate and decelerate slowly, but as long as those are fine, there won't be any issues with the speed.
-
Of course. I'm just saying if you wanted it to go from LA to New York (2000+ miles) in 2 minutes it would have to accelerate far faster than than the human body can tolerate. But if it did it slow, say 10m/s^2 it would work really well.

I think it's 2 hours, not 2 minutes.

I know. I realized that after I posted my first comment

What?

Go take a physics class.

No I know what you said, I meant how on earth did you arrive at the conclusion that the mode of public transportation would be designed to kill people??? What the hell???
-
No, I was simply stating that transportation that accelerates that fast WOULD kill people. Until I realized he meant a couple minutes from la to San Fran, not from la to New York. Lol
-
LOL. Yeah if it were that fast I doubt that it would stay in commission very long XD

Oh sorry, thought u said La to east coast in minutes. NEVERMIND! Makes sense then, low friction magnetic transportation in the future of mass long distance transport. No more airliners pretty soon.
