Tell you what, I'm going to go back to the drawing board and see if I can't come up with something rigid, but movable. I just don't want to end up with a formfitting catsuit with some epaulets strapped on. The way I've seen it described in the book, the armor is solid, able to stand on its own.

I agree, but if you put it as others have that it's a skin, then I understand. If it's armor, then the legs are nearly unmoveable unless it's liquid armor at the joints. The arms look as if they can move though.
