I could agree and disagree, really halo 4 was a little overhyped and that led to the disappointment. But it was lacking weapon balancing which was adressed an fixed not to long ago. With that said the population did grow a bit, and I don't think there will be a downfall since it is still in the top 10 games being played on Xbl right now. I'm not fanboying but I will support halo and destiny no matter what. But I think the only thing that would cause a "downfall" would be the no backwards compatibility on the xbone.

Being in the Top 10 on XBL would be a nice achievement... if the budget and expectations for this platform game weren't so high. For this type of game, which really mostly revolves around multiplayer and spartan ops, being in anything less than the top 10 would be a complete failure for it. If this game isn't a top 3 on XBL for AT LEAST the first six months, then it isn't successful. Again, a low budget game would consider it a great achievement to be in the top 10, but this isn't that kind of game. If CoD was to to release another title that didn't make the top 3, it would be considered a failure as far as CoD goes. The expectations for Halo are very similar.

I still feel people had really high expectations for 343i's FIRST major game so no it shouldn't really isn't similar to cod expectations, but people over hyped it anyway not overlooking the situation, and if bungie made the game then yes the expectations would be similar because they're the ones who created halo and made the past games so it would have made sense but this is 343i who made it so of course this is how it's going to be. I guarantee you when cod first launched it probably didn't do as we'll as it does now. It's just the fact that its their first game and it had its ups and downs, with the feedback and how much they've learned they'll improve on the next game because they'll now have experience
