Laughed harder than I should have. Survivors... lol

I love it when people on the Internet talk about things they can't even begin to understand.
-
And I love talking about things I don't even begin to understand on the internet. We should be friends!
-
Omg totally! :DDD
-
-blam!- you.
-
This is a violation of Secular Sevens rules.
-
dude, calm down you've seriously gone way off the rails since the malevolent pricks thread
-
Not sure why I would be calm about someone making fun of survivors of sexual assault.
-
Don't give me that shit, you've drifted way too far toward substanceless insulting of late.
-
I also think it's pretty -blam!-ed up that your first action when you saw my "insult" was to criticize me rather than the person who just belittled survivors of sexual assault.
-
Did you not see the post where I explained to him why many people prefer to use "survivor"? I don't really think that constitutes substanceless-ness.
-
I personally like the way he's been acting.
-
It's the wording man. You make it sound like sexual assault is typically deadly.
-
Sexual assault can be deadly. It is very common in work surrounding things like sexual assault and stalking to use the term "survivor" in lieu of "victim" for a number of reasons. Primarily, it empowers the survivor and emphasizes the gravity of the crime they have survived. I volunteer at my university's sexual assault prevention and awareness group, so it's a term I use reflexively, and numerous conversations with survivors I know have confirmed that using this term has been empowering and helpful to them. So don't -blam!-ing laugh. This is about as serious as it gets.
-
I shall continue to laugh. How's 57 million dollars supposed to fix emotional trauma, anyway?
-
therapy and nice cars.
-
I shall continue to laugh.
Then I'll reiterate: -blam!- you and your perpetuation of -blam!- culture.
-
>-blam!- culture There's that term. We're worse than r/Atheism now, we're on -blam!-ing Tumblr levels now.
-
Tumblr you say? Nah, not enough sexy traps 'round here.
-
Don't threaten me with a good time.
-
You're an utterly vile human being.
-
This is also a violation of the group rules.
-
More likely a troll
-
A troll that uses survivors of sexual assault to troll is still vile.
-
There's always a bigger fish.
