...And this is why Europeans hate us.
Well they still owe us for saving them in ww1 and ww2 they can just calm down... And we can be less "A-holes"

We don't owe you anything since we weren't alive during those times. Besides, had they not intervened, the allies would have still probably won, though it would have taken a hell of a lot longer. Even if the allies lost, do you really think Germany, with all its new manpower, would really let the US sit fat and happy? It was in America's best interests to join the war, even if they did so because of selfish reasons.

Edited by Cpitate: 7/7/2013 2:20:41 PMOf course Hitler would have turned to the United States and attack us (if he ever did get that far) The US did not truly join WW2 for selfish reasons, we were attacked by the Japanese. So Roosevelt met with Winston Churchill and Joseph Stalin (if I'm not mistaken, forgive me it has been awhile since history class) and they ultimately decided Hitler's power and military genius needed to be stopped, in fact the Manhattan project was designed to bomb 2 different enemies. 1) The Nazi_party 2) the Japanese, but the war ended with the Nazis_ just as the bombs were completed but if the war had lasted 3 months more or so there wouldn't be a modern Berlin. However ww1... that may have been for more personal gain, the U.S. government at the time knew they were going to get something in return for providing aid. Look I don't know what European country you are from, I don't hate you, I don't dislike you. We are just people, there have been many times European countries have helped the united states, there have been many times we have provided aid to European countries. It was ignorant to say, "You owe us." That's not true. It is true a good portion of Americans that are citizens of the united states sit too "high and mighty." However, every single time I run into a citizen of a European country on the Internet I have been met with bigotry maybe sometimes I deserve it, sometimes I don't. Politically we are all friends! Why cant we all just be decent human beings on a more social level? Is human decency to much to ask from either side of the Atlantic pond?

Just to clear things up, I'm from the UK, but I consider that in Europe, though some don't. As I said in another post, I don't hate you or your country. Only the bigots who think that the US is the greatest nation on the planet. In all honesty I just wish we could get along, but every nation has its idiots. Unfortunately, it's the idiots who're the loudest :P

I would consider the UK apart of Europe. If I'm not mistaken the UK still doesn't use the Euro but I personally would consider it to belong to the European region. I would like to apologize for my fellow American's ignorant post, The citizens as well as the government of the US are not the brightest burning bulbs. Haha but yes it is unfortunate idiots that are the loudest... and breed the most...

Hate us? I'm making a point here, if they hate us for that then that's pretty sad.

Saving other Europeans from themselves. Pretty ironic...
