Ultimately, it's your choice. Since you can just change your username entirely now, that's not a factor in this equation.
You have:
>Old account, veteran loot, no followers
>New account, no loot, but you have followers
Moving email addresses/account links doesn't move your followers to different accounts (you can't "merge" accounts). Think of a "follow" as a "subscription". People who follow you subscribed to Account A. They won't be moved over to Account B if you decide to make the switch.
If you want the best of both worlds, it will take you some work, but it's possible. Here's how you do it - Move everything to your old account. You'll get the "loot" that's been disbursed. Relink your accounts, rename your profile to what you want (Threesided?) and get into your groups etc.
If you want to retain your followers, the easiest of doing that is Messaging all of them and letting them know you're moving accounts. This might take some time, but luckily you can message up to 7 people in one conversation at once. By doing this you may not get every single person to move over for various reasons.
In short: It's possible to make the move, but since you want to keep your followers intact, it's going to be a stretch. The other option is to have it split like it is now. Ultimately, it's up to you.

BUT FOLLOWERS MANG!

I have no followers on my original account but I have one more year on my original. I care more about my followers than the amount of years it says I've been active, ultimately. Love my followers, obviously.
