Sure but with a penalty everytime you kill someone.
Player-killers should be labeled as a bounty for other players to hunt for a prize for an hour while they're online. If it was a mistake, the player who was killed could have a forgive option, so that the bounty could be called off. That way you'd get to have FF and more realistic shooting, but it would discourage the assholes who just want to kill others.

Yes! That should keep idiots in check

That's a terrible idea.

How so
-
That's what they want. Just a bunch of killing.
-
If that's what they want then this way it will discourage the trolls who just want to cap others for fun. It's like the auto-boot/ban system in halo multiplayer to get rid of repetitive team killers. If you're one those who just want to be able to kill anyone anytime for absolutely no reason, then hope for a PVP wilderness area, idk.

Nice!! Great idea! I think in a game like destiny it is extremely important to not lose that immersion, watching someone get nailed by a friendly rocket like you said and nothing happens to them kinda pulls you back to reality and ruins the intensity of the moment! The bounty idea is inspired bro! I hope bungie pays close attention to these forums cuz I have seen some BOMB ideas! This game is gonna be AWESOME I fully trust bungie but I really do hope they are paying attention.

(Just a random idea similar to what u said) in the city there is a building/store-like that u go in and there is a list of players that are betrayers that build up a higher bounty as they are a nuisance...and u can pick one that it might locate for you when online and mabey he has an arrow above his head as "your target" u go find him and try to kill him for a small prize...but if you approach him mabey there will be somthing above your head letting him know you are out to kill him...so its a war!!

Bounty hunter system, just what I was thinking. Brilliant

Not to mention, with a system like that, I'm sure there would be those groups of players who would band together in fire teams and consider themselves bandits, spending their down time in the wilderness away from heavily populated areas. Bandit raids and bounty hunting, a system like that would open up into so much more.
