Normally, I'd say that remaking a game a second time is stupid. But since I'm a huge Metal Gear fan, and since the Twin Snakes wasn't good, I'm pretty stoked for it. However, if it's going to be designed with modern gameplay in mind, then the level design needs to be redesigned to accommodate it. Twin Snakes didn't do that; it placed MGS2's gameplay in MGS1 level design, with little-to-no modifications, and it didn't work that well.

I still think I'd rather see Metal Gear 2 remade though. Has so much potential to be a smash hit since the story is really damn good and most people have missed it. Rename it "Metal Gear Solid: Origins" or something like that.

  • That's sort of like saying MGS2 is a remake of MGS1, since it shares certain plot elements and character archetypes.
