more efficient state governments
oh boy that's a good one
-
well, they won't need signoffs for stupid things like "can we put the polls in the courthouses, police/fire stations, VFW halls, etc." any more.
-
And this is a good thing? Putting polling places in predominantly white or rich areas while having none in minority or poor areas has been used to suppress minority voting in the past. Is this okay with you?
-
you're not even making coherent ramblings or sense at this point. i'm not seeing what you're trying to link with ems places, couthouses and the local VA has to do with race or economic standing. everyone has polling places in their districts. just a bunch of "eveyone's rich and racist! white guilt! only the fed can end racism!" and ad homonym.
-
They also don't need signoff to split and fracture the minority communities into the white ones so that said white communities overule their votes, effectively silencing their opposition.
-
No, more racism, discrimination, and disenfranchisement.
-
how so? they said it themselves that they struck it down because it wasn't necessary any longer.
You're a racist.
what? so, i am confused here. the SCOTUS says this law is not needed. somehow that makes me racist? excuse me, but unlike stereotypes racism isn't blatantly everywhere you go and this is not the 1960s. people aren't suddenly held back from voting or not allowed, as long as they're US citizens. how is it racist that only citizens be allowed to exercise voting(citizenship) rights? it defeats the entire point of citizenship to allow otherwise.
Voting IDs will be available for free
so anyone who doesn't have a state issued ID can get one for free. seems really accessible to me...almost like they're trying to make it *gasp* easy for people to vote. if anything you're the one being ignorant and stereotypical. *continues listening to music*
so, i am confused here. the SCOTUS says this law is not needed. somehow that makes me racist?
Yes, because you're framing it as a positive.
excuse me, but unlike stereotypes racism isn't blatantly everywhere you go and this is not the 1960s.
You live in a -blam!-ing fantasy world. Racism is still everywhere. If you weren't white, you would know that. And stereotypes (of people of color) are racism.
people aren't suddenly held back from voting or not allowed, as long as they're US citizens.
Yes they are. That's what voter ID legislation is about: making it harder for certain people to vote. Once again, you're living in a fantasy world.
how is it racist that only citizens be allowed to exercise voting(citizenship) rights?
Because the means of ensuring that such is the case disproportionately affect people of color.
so anyone who doesn't have a state issued ID can get one for free. seems really accessible to me...almost like they're trying to make it *gasp* easy for people to vote.
There are still costs associated with getting such a "free" ID, such as obtaining a birth certificate if one does not have it, transportation, and time. This is a non-solution to a nonexistent problem.

Hey, give him more credit. He might not be racist, he might just hate poor people.

his face when

Oh, I don't think there's any doubt as to whether or not state governments will be more efficient.
