Okay I'm hoping someone could enlighten the subject, but what I don't understand is how Venus, which currently lacks the capability to support life, suddenly have the ability to sprout growth? The only understanding I can think of is: anything can happen in the future.
Anyone?

3 RepliesVenus is incredibly hot. Hotter than mercury, which is closer to the Sun. This is because of the thick clouds and atmosphere that traps heat inside. Furthermore a day on Venus is longer than its year! We can expect the game to be day for most of its year and night for a couple of months. Since this is a Mythic Science Fiction video game and supposedly humans have used the power of the traveler to terraform planets, we can't really question the "realism" of the Jungles on Venus. It would honestly require major changes to the planet's atmosphere and to its terra. Here's the irony I see in the Destiny universe. Humans would actually have an easier time terraforming Mars than Venus. Yet we see Mars as a dead Desert wasteland and Venus as this beautiful tropical garden world. Of course Mars has a much weaker gravitation field and Venus has one closer to Earth's, therefore, this could be the reason why the planet remains a wasteland.

1 ReplyThis is your question? Really? But inter planet travel, aliens, magic etc is all acceptable? Ha ha ha

The Traveler sparked life onto all the plants and made them habitable

2 RepliesTerraforming during Humanity's Golden Era most likely.

2 RepliesTerraforming. That is all.

Do you believe everything that NASA tells you? They just want to keep the succulent Space Fruit on Venus all to themselves...

3 RepliesEdited by Shinicle: 6/17/2013 5:26:24 PMVenus is a lot like Earth. They are sister-planets of a close size that are theoretically have similar geology. There is a problem that arises from the fact that Venus has an extremely dense atmosphere, which will currently render our best technology moot in minutes. There is very little water or hydrogen in atmosphere. On the plus side, terraforming would mean that Venus could be made into a liveable planet where humans could walk around without dying from bone or muscle decay due to the fact that the gravity is so similar to Earth's. Because of where Venus is and its size, the planet would always have a denser atmosphere than Earth's to retain one. This means the idea of a humid jungle planet works out. But it would take hundreds of years to introduce water, remove the more toxic elements and create an ecosystem. Since the game is set very far into the future, the explanation for these things shouldn't be a problem. Venus being a jungle/swamp is also a prominent SF trope.

1 ReplyI think that's the case........who knows.

We probably just terraformed the mess out of it and created a sustainable ecosystem like we did with the other planets before we got pretty much wiped out by those aliens.

I remember hearing that there is acid rain is on Venus? Not actually sure but jungles on Venus would to awenoms to explore.

Since Venus has a crap ton of heat, maybe the future us found a way to cool it down. 100 years later, it turns into a luscious jungle planet that is like the new Earth. After all, Venus is the goddess of beauty. Why not have a beautiful planet. Right?

Years into the future maybe technology enhanced environment

Venus as far that i understand is that have toxic clima, but that i dont undestand is the question. Is related to the game or the real life?
