I just don't understand why it's a big deal. I only extremely rarely borrow or lend a game to someone, and I don't live under a rock, so 24/7 internet connection isn't something I'm even going to notice.

  • The internet reaction is analogous to complaining that the apocalypse would make it impossible to play xbox. Maybe the priorities are a bit misplaced. There are people who have a right to complain due to their circumstances, but in that case I would happily recommend them to buy a PS4. It's like complaining that your Netflix subscription isn't worth the money because your internet isn't fast enough. The service itself revolves around fast internet, just deal with it. Microsoft seems to be going in the same direction. If Microsoft's strategy is not for you, don't complain. Show some common sense and buy a product that does fit your needs. In one fell swoop you don't give Microsoft money for a product you don't want and you get something that does suit you.
