But why 24 hour checks? Why not just disable the disc?
Even if you buy the Playstation Camera the whole caboodle only costs £394 which is still £35 less than the One with Kinecct 2!

Edited by Deadlock: 6/15/2013 1:33:42 AMHow does one... disable a disc? I'm just imagining a punch inside the Xbox One destroying the disc once you finish installing a game haha

LOL I mean you install it and then it recognises that you are of a certain profile and will install that programme onto your Xbox One. You could then send that game to a friend or whatever if you sent them the programme but only if they've been on your friend's list for 30 days and nobody else. So I guess this DRM is to make sure that anybody using a second hand game will have only up to 24 hours of being naughty in single player until the consoles says "internet! NOW!" And then you connect and it's like, oh that's a programme recognised as having been registered with the other console! Please pay a fee to unlock this disc! And then this will make sure that people can't sell their disc because otherwise they would have gotten the game and then sold the disc but kept the game! Or you could take it back and say it was a terrible game so can you get a gift voucher? Sure! It's not much of a loss to the company and can resell it as second hand but ha ha I still have the digital copy at home! Do this with every single disc ever and have infinite free games! Microsoft wants money so 24 hour internet test No 1.5 MBps internet connection once every 24 hours? Then they want you to stick with thee Xbox 360! So you say -blam!- that and get a PS4. End of story This is their reasoning for 24 hour checks And guess what? That's right the PS4 doesn't have stored content! It's either downloaded stuff which if it sucks too bad you're stuck with it unless you delete it but no refund! Disc! Can't save content onto game console! Can't find your disc!? -blam!-ing tough! So it depends on what you want really...

It's not really that Microsoft wants money, without the 24 hour game checks I'm fairly sure the entire xbox one game market would entirely collapse from how much the system would be getting abused. But yeah, in the end it really depends on what you're after in your game console of choice.

An Xbox One or both, obviously And I already got a Wii U which is undoubtedly awesome even if the games for it are somewhat limited.
