In-Game HUD Oculus Rift
[spoiler]Forgive me if this looks terrible as I am doing this from my phone since for some reason whenever I try posting things in the Destiny Topic, it doesn't work.[/spoiler]
I have a couple things I would like to bring up as I haven't really seen too many Oculus Rift threads.
If you haven't heard of the Oculus Rift, educate yourselves because this piece of technology will hopefully be ushering in a new era of gaming.
Now that we have covered that ill assume you clicked the link and will be able to follow what I am going to be talking about.
First and foremost, I am [i][b]hopeful[/b][/i] that this game will have oculus support - If given this amazing piece of technology the immersion in this will multiply ten-fold.
So I am going to start this discussion by saying what I would love to see as optional customize choices for the UI. A way to easily access and choose personal music - how great would it be to simply change your music in-game on a virtual HUD to match the mood of the terrain or perhaps to heighten the excitement in or before battle.
My questions are - What kind of HUD customizations would you be rocking? Also, what would like to see with the Oculus Rift and Destiny in general?

I sit close enough to my tv. as it is. I like being immersed but still having my feet in the grounds of reality. It's a cool idea and all but I don't like where it's going. I'm guessing you've seen the matrix?

I think the Rift is amazing, but I have no idea whether or not we will see it supported.

3 RepliesOculus Rift will never see high usage rates. It is expensive, an "extra" feature, requires game support implemented by developers, and only provides extra immersion. Destiny will more than likely not support Oculus Rift, games likely to support Oculus Rift are the simulator types such as ArmA 3, or eye candy rig destroyer type games such as Crysis 3 or Metro 2033. The technology is just not practical or necessary enough to be implemented on all triple A titles and will likely remain so forever.

I would very much so enjoy this. My money would be thrown even harder at both Bungie and Oculus Rift if these two amazing things are ever married.

4 RepliesI'm getting both consoles as i really don't care this console war that's turning against each other and in the end it all comes down to what you want not anyone else. I'll be getting destiny for the Xbox one though. I'm also getting the oculos rift when released this will be the future of gaming for sure. I do hope your able to use it to play destiny, being able to to travel through space and kill cabal in literally first person view is just epic.
