If you are without Internet for over 24 hours--it's a sign of serious societal collapse. Start sharpening sticks, hoarding canned goods. ;)

You know outside of the land of the free, many people don't have internet. And many service men and women do not have internet when they are being deployed.
-
Ummm... bullshit. 90% of Europe, Australia, South America, and Asia have internet access, and good access at that. Do your homework, Ken. By the Gods...

Try Iraq, Afghanistan. Less civilized and unstable parts of the world

Edited by Vampire Nox: 6/6/2013 11:55:47 PMAnd you think that their biggest worry (or even the foremost thing on their minds) is that they won't be able to get an Xbox One? lololololololololol Stop, you're killing my sides! This is the dumbest argument I've read yet today.

Edited by Studness4: 6/7/2013 12:01:19 AMHaha what's wrong with wanting to game a bit when they are off duty? It's not pure combat every day there. It's a lot of patrols, a lot of boredom. I'm sure many servicemen and women would love to have a console they could play at any time and kick back and relax with. Cool your jets, bud.

I was in the military. I know how it is. But if you'd bother looking anything up, Microsoft has already said that they have these people covered. Untie the knot in your panties and move on. :)
-
They said they are "looking into it". Either way its just needless, like mandatory Kinect. Even so cable lines go down, their is maintenance, etc. Rare but it happens. And why do you assume I'm angry? I realize you support Xbox but this feverish brand loyalty is bad for us gamers as a whole.
-
WHich is also false. Kinect can be turned off at will. That is confirmed as well.
-
Mandatory in the sense you HAVE to have one.
-
ANd it comes bundled with the system, then you don't have to use it. I fail to see the issue.
-
But you have to buy it. Most of us gamers aren't too keen on motion controller gaming when a simple button press can do the job just fine.
-
Which isn't necessary to play, the controller will do 99% of the game-controlling anyway. Because you can turn the Kinect off. Anytime you want. For as long as you want. Is there still a problem?
-
Yeah. I don't want one. If playstation forced me to buy a Move I would feel the same way. Cut the cost of that crap out of the system and give me more powerful hardware, or more useful features, etc. Or just make the system cheaper and I can use that money to buy a game.

I understand and Microsoft is making a conscious decision not to make a console for that market. But most of the people complaining here aren't doing it because they don't have Internet 99% of the time, nor are they complaining because they care about other people that don't have Internet. Also regarding deployed troops, Microsoft has said they will be able to give account permission of using games 100% offline. They referenced this exact scenario so no I don't think they will do it for joe in Kansas with spotty Internet, which is unfortunate.
