It's a terrible move and now I will not buy it. I cannot believe they are going down such a stupid route. Why would I buy a game that requires internet connect (like future Elder Scrolls VI) on the xbox one when I could get it on pc and play offline forever. It makes no logical sense.

 • So you plan on having no internet in your place of living?

 • people like you just don't get it at all. Has nothing to do with or without the internet. It's about the servers that will be run my MS. In the future they will pull the DRM servers and you won't be able to play your single player games. It's just dumb and won't be buying a temporary system or games that only last a few years by the whim of the company.

 • If by "few years" you mean upwards of 15, then okay, you got me. By the way, the "24 hour check" is not a hardware thing, it is a software thing. This means that it can be turned off along with the servers when Microsoft knows any minute loss that would ensue from sharing games is not important at this point. Are you okay with the system now, or is there another concern you would like me to answer using logic?

 • I'm not buying it. I will not buy a console that has such a DRM system in place. Just like Diablo III and Sim City had DRM issues and I didn't buy those I will walk away from this console. It's that simple.

 • Ummm... Sony is almost guaranteed to do it as well being that they pioneered and refined the tech for it. Are you going to let your paranoia win and quit gaming all together? Don't be stupid. Master your fear, not the other way around.

 • paranoia of what? It's a matter of principle that I will stand by. I am against DRM like this.

 • You still haven't stated how this affects the average gamer in any way. Also, unless I am mistaken, Sim City was ALWAYS online, which is something I do see as a problem but is vastly different from the system Xbox One is utilizing.
