-blam!-ing mainlanders. What we should do is try and blockade the PRC Navy if we can, fire some warning shots at them to get them to back off, if they don't back off then whatever they try and send gets blown up. I do not like the idea of any PRC military presence in American waters/airspace. I really hope the DoD is actively trying to shift its focus to the Pacific.
-blam!-ing mainlanders.
Are you getting ready to kick some ass, asian style?
What we should do is try and blockade the PRC Navy if we can, fire some warning shots at them to get them to back off, if they don't back off then whatever they try and send gets blown up.
That seems, uh, extreme.
I do not like the idea of any PRC military presence in American waters/airspace.
They're not in our waters, per se. Instead, they are in our Exclusive Economic Zone, an area where a state has special economic rights over the resources in the area. Provided they don't breach territorial waters, the PRC has the right to hold naval drills or conduct patrols as they please. Sure, it undermines their cause and makes them appear more aggressive, but they are allowed to do all this by a UN statute the U.S. signed.

The Kuomintang actually want to reunify with China with the oppressive PRC government under control. So no, but I respect their military history. Fighting against all odds against the Japs for free China. I lean more towards the Democratic Progressive Party, mainly because they're liberal and because they want to keep the ROC separate from the PRC.

  • Is there anyway the US can back out of this US Statute? To keep the mainlanders in their place we'll have to be extreme when it coems to deterring this. To show them that are Military is still the best i nthe world. Which means training exercises with the Indian Military in India near the the Tibetan border, exercises with the Indian Navy in the Indian Ocean. Joint exercises in the South China Sea, etc. etc.
