Well India needs a REAL government first, not a series of politicians still bowing down to that stupid caste system. The main limitation of India is the caste system, its unfair for the poor that they believe they will in their lifetime be poor.....

My choice of words was rather poor, I admit there not "bowing down to it" however I still believe that it's still a motive.

Are you retarded? Caste based discrimination has been illegal for years. Hell, their 10th president was a Dalit.
-
Illegal yes but its still kind of a sub motive, Its nothing major but people still somewhat believe in it. http://www.eslstation.net/Lab_Information/Our_Lives/Viewpoints/Dalits_Campesinos.htm

Well no shit, it's been around for thousands of years. But you can't accuse Indian politicians of bowing down to the caste system when their -blam!-ing president is an untouchable.

If India wants to become a REAL democracy with everyone wanting political rights equality and stuff like that then it must abolish that caste system. The caste system puts everyone in a caste whether they like it or not, while India has acknowledged and acted somewhat to this (untouchables) it still uses the class system. Now onto the politicians, some but not all are corrupt accepting bribes and what not. But how do they do this ? Its because there born into that class and have the authority to do that because they are from the higher echelons of power (Brahhmins or Kshatriyas). How is a lowly peasant (sudrras) going to stop someone that is superior to them. Granted of course the Indian caste system has been downplayed but this is still a problem.
