You can log onto rated M games no matter what your account age is as long as you have the restriction setting turned off. But your account will be a child's account if it's under 18.

    You would have to do it manually. Xbox.com has a guide. The restrictions as far as I know just mean you can't download any DLC for rated M content. In all honesty, you might as well just make your account age one year older. Then there's no issue. I made my account when I was... oh, 14 or so? Now I'm 20 but if you were to believe my account I'd be in my 30's probably.
