So, you're going for dual-citizenship?
And which country are you looking to provide you with student-loans for your Canadian education?

Yes sir I plan to get dual-citizenship unless staying an american citizen would help me. I'm trying to find the best option for me to be able to go to school in Canada and pay for it. If getting dual-citizenship helps me achieve that I will. I just don't have a good understanding of loans. I'm assuming I have to have america provide me with loans because they will be taken out in my american fathers name because he will be able to get a larger loan than me.

Since your parent(s) are taking out the loan, then I don't believe that the loan would be related to to typical government-provided "student loan" programs in the US. To the best of my knowledge, a student loan is granted to the student, not their parent. It sounds like your parent(s) will simply be applying for a typical consumer loan and using that loan to help you pay for college. In which case, it's not really a matter of your citizenship, where you want to go to school or anything else. It will be dependant on your parent's credit, where they apply for a load, what they offer as collateral, and other standard issues that surround a consumer loan.

Oh I see. I will have to talk to my dad about that whenever he gets back. I'm assuming that he will also want me to get a student loan as well. If I was to get a student loan would it be possible to get a fafsa loan for a canadian school? I'm assuming if not that Canada also has some kind of student loan system I would be eligible for if I do get citizenship.
