So yeah, I'd say we need more graduates from both colleges and technical schools. Subsidizing education is an investment in human capital, and thus a sound economic move in our current climate. Unfortunately, you are looking at the short term trends of our current economy in recession, not at the long term requirements needed for further growth.
Yes! Free up education! Then I'd be more comfortable with taking risky degrees. Worrying about getting the degree is can be stressful enough.. Then there is worrying about Food, Water, Shelter, Clothing and paying other, more important bills.
