I see it differently, I reject your reality and substitute my own!

"I once had a co-worker who made jokes like “There are three things a woman should see: the kitchen sink, the bedroom ceiling, and the back of my hand” and would call tampons “Lady Cigars.” I was so glad when he resigned, but I gotta say, he left a lasting impression" (Blatant sexism. Some people can handle jokes, some can't. That's a different topic.)
"I will always be a feminist until I feel safe walking alone on the alley at night" (Interesting conclusion.)
"I once had a guy (friend from college) open a door for me (ofc I said thank you) and mention something about chivalry and acted puffed-out and proud, he felt entitled to reward for such a noble act. I said “Ah, well done, you, a human being, did a decent thing for another human being who happens to have breasts/a vagina. Imagine that. Am I to fall at your feet now? What are your rates for opening doors? Handjob? Nudes? ” He looked stunned, and said “I never thought of it that way…I’m so sorry”" (She's angry because she got treated as some form of rewarding object. The guy seemed to be trying to show off with the "chivalry" comment. You know, I don't think women deserve special treatment. If you don't either, support feminism, because it aims to get rid of these stereotypes/stupid traditions. )
"I once had a guy tell me to become a christian after i told him i was an atheist. The words he used were “that needs to change”" (Irrelevant)
"I once had a guy (my father) tell me that a man would never be attracted to me because my skin is always raw and red from scratching myself all the time (something i do out of stress), he then proceeded to hit my raw, red chest with the spatula he was holding and it stung like hell. I am trying to stop my stress scratching not for him, not so men will be attracted to me, but for my own personal health." (I'm not sure what to say here. It's too weird from both sides/angles)

All this seems to be is an incoherent blog post. It isn't radical in any major form, at least from this sample. It's also hardly representative of feminists, fyi.

I'm a 22 year old afghan war vet. A 5'11 190 pound bearded man who also happens to be a commercial sailor and I don't feel safe walking through an alley alone at night. My neighborhoods gone to shit. Lol that girls post thingy was so irrelevant for her to state haha

You know, getting incredibly pissed off at someone being nice is a douchebag move. If someone holds the door for me, I say thank you. His chivalry comment was most likely a sarcastic way of saying "Oh your welcome" for the bitch who showed no form of appreciation. (This is about the door holding one, because quote doesn't seem to be working)

Edited by Quantum: 5/21/2013 6:48:11 AMIf you read the post (as far as I can see),she did say thank you. But, she was sarcastic in the response because she didn't like the special treatment she was getting.

And she felt the need to be a complete dick to him?

I'm not sure what that has to do with the topic at hand, though, feminism.
