So after I posted a question thread about the Destiny books I saw some deep divisions in the preferences of some of our readers, even some saying they don't like videogame books! (I know, right?)
So I've decided to make a thread where you say who would be your ideal Destiny author!
I'd be excited to see Patrick Rothfuss as an author, he seems pretty good at medival fantasy, I think such a skill could translate into the world of Destiny quite well.
Whose name do you want to see underneath the title of a Destiny novel? (you can choose more than one)

Brandon Sanderson

uuuuuummmmmmm https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/107449948
-
George R.R. Martin. There are factions, swords, knights, knight like armor (Titan), potential for lineages, the heartless Queen and Rahool is alst as shady as littlefinger.
-
There shouldn't be Destiny books. At least not right now. There's no way they'd be able to fill a whole book up with what they've given us so far. Although if it's written by a third party, outside source, it may not be as convoluted as Bungie has made it.

Snoop Dogg

Eric Nylund is a huge favorite of mine. To be honest I just want a book that I can actually read and connect the dots to this scattered story.

Edited by pulvis ira: 3/9/2015 9:41:57 PMOh man. If Iain M Banks hadn't died... Bungie openly pays homage to some of his Culture works. Greg Bear did a supreme job with the Halo Forerunner trilogy. I feel his style of big sci fi and mystery is an excellent fit for Destiny. Neal Stephenson touches on some pretty huge themes. And he tells a hell of a story. I feel he could rock Destiny. My pick though, right now, is Peter F Hamilton of Reality Dysfunction fame. He can do aliens, he can nail military sci fi, and he has big scope and well written characters. My dark horse: John Scalzi. Because I totally want to see his humor matching up with Nathan Fillion. Can someone reply here? I want to save this thread!

Personally I wouldn't mind writing them myself, but in terms of someone famous? Whoever wrote the halo books
