I hope that there are not any books, I feel like Destiny should be entirely self contained and that the only author should be Bungie.

Whaaaaaaattt? Bungie always dictates what gets put in books about their games, their writing team works very closely with authors to ensure that nothing like the warcraft canon, or star wars canon, scandal every happens. Why would you not want books?

  • I want the whole story to be in the games.

  • Sometimes, but I think games can, and should, deliver full stories, and an open world game like Destiny should be able to convey backstory through the game world.

  • Lol. I always find it funny when people think that fiction is a waste of time. It doesn't hurt to read a little every now and then. I would love to get some novels based off the Destiny lore! I'll eat it all up.

I don't think that fiction is a waste of time, but games can be great works of fiction, and can tell stories entirely by themselves. They don't need books to tell stories for them. • I completely agree. I love games specifically for the story. But my eyes! Lol. I need a break from the gamma every so often, but when I'm really invested in a universe, sometimes I don't wanna stop. Reading a decently written novel is also nice for when I'm in bed with the wife and we are hunkering down for the night.
