Is there any news on 'split-screen' in Destiny yet? If not, any speculation/rumors?
Thanks guys!

There has been 1 confirmation from Deej himself stating that no destiny will not be getting split screen. Get over it please?
-
I thought it was confirmed there wouldn't be

All the Halo games had split screen so I don't see why Destiny wouldn't. I, for one, will be extremely disappointed if it does not. My best gaming memories have always been from Halo 1/2 split screen coop with my friends.
-
No confirmation. Honestly? I'd prefer i if there wasn't for a game like this.

Split - screen was invented because multiplayer was not such a big selling point as it is now. Now that we have multiplayer there is less and less need for it. Furthermore, weren't you annoyed by it back when Xbox was fun? I constantly lost track of who I was, it was quite frustrating...

Well I'm hoping there will be co-op split screen. If not it will ruin my experience for the Wife and I. Don't fail me Bungie...
-
Probably not. Wouldn't make any sense in a game like this.

Ask the mail sack :)

I see what people mean by it not making sense, but saying that. The best memories of gaming in my life has been when there next to me and not online, simply cause you are actually with a real person, not just a Mic and headset.

It would actually be cool if splitscreen was introduces to Destiny. Imagine that you are new to the game and haven't really got any friends to play with, you ask a "irl" friend to come over and try it out with you on a guest account which progress will likely be lost after disconnecting. Through this way new players can still enter dungeons with their friend or anyone so they don't have to explore the world all by themselves.

I hope so , I am lucky to have a big tv . It's nice to have a buddy beside TOU in the game .

No news on that front. The reason I think the answer is no is that the game is less linear campaign and small multiplayer arenas, and more big open areas your traveling in. You'd need to restrict how far apart 2 players on the same console are because I'm sure it does lots of scaling of rendering different textures depending on how close you are to something. Just doesnt make sense to make compromises for a game that will mainly be played with other people online.
