Let's pretend like it's the 90s again. Sega and Nintendo are battling it out in the console wars. Sega's 16-bit, High Definition Graphics beast, the Genesis is going toe-to-toe with Nintendo's SNES. Which one wins?
Since I'm a former Sega fanboy who is still in denial over the fact that Sega lost, I'm gonna side with Sega. The Genesis has Blast Processing. Does your precious Super Nintendo have that, Nintendorks?

As AVGN said, Super Nintendo for games, Genesis for hardware. Though personally I'd go for SNES

Super Nintendo.

2 RepliesEdited by U124926: 5/14/2013 3:36:10 PMI had a Super Nintendo as a kid. Now I have a Genesis. I gotta say, I did like my Super Nintendo better. The graphics were better, the music was better (although a lot of Genesis music has its own charm), the controller was miles and miles ahead of the Genesis. Ever tried play Mortal Kombat on a Genesis controller? Forget it. Also, Nintendo just had more great games. Zelda, Mario, Donkey Kong Country, Final Fantasy, Super Castlevania 4. The classics. That's not to say Genesis didn't have its own greats like Kid Chameleon, Sonic, Beyond Oasis, Batman and Robin, but compared to the Nintendo games they just didn't have the same charm. And even the games that they both had, like Doom, Zombie Ate My Neighbour, the aforementioned Mortal Kombat, were all around better on the SNES. It's too bad SNES stuff is getting so expensive nowadays. Although still less expensive than 360 or PS3 games and hardware. Really the best investment for the next gen is to not get next gen consoles, get old gen. SNES specifically, or both ideally. But SNES was better to me. But then again,
BLAST PROCESSING
The Atari Jaguar blows both of those pieces of shit out of the water. /64-bit master race
-
SNES because Chrono Trigger
-
I haven't owned a SNES, but I have played Super Metroid and A Link To The Past, good enough for me.
-
-
Tough one... I'll have to go with SNES though, Nintendo had Rare on their side back then.
-
Sega does what Nintendont! Ironically, SNES was better then "blast processing."
-
Super FX chip > blast processing
-
N64 and the SNES are so close to the quality they had I can't decided. But since your poll has the Genesis or SNES, I chose the SNES.
-
Super Metroid. That is all.

2 RepliesPS2 > N64 > Super NES > 50 other random systems in any order you please > Genesis. With the exception of Road Rash and Toe Jam and Earl I hated every game I ever played on it. Yes that includes weak ass overrated Sonic.

2 RepliesEdited by Oneironaut: 5/13/2013 10:20:01 PMFor -blam!- sake! Would it kill you people when making polls to include a "both" option? I mean, you included some fail attempt at humor joke option, but couldn't include a both option or a neither option?

Megadrive, that was my first console so nostalgia and all that.
-
Super Nintendo? Nintendo 64 because Turok series.

I say the Super Nintendo. It has better games IMO, including some of my all time favourites.
