SS is how it's meant to be abbreviated. There is no "J" in Super Saiyan.

I have been a DBZ fan for a long time, seen that abbreviation everywhere, and have never once bothered to figure out why there's a "j" in there. The hell does it stand for?

Super Saiyajin. SSJ. That's how I've been pronouncing it ever since I first got hooked.

The Japanese way of saying it is saiya-jin. In the dub it was changed to saiyan, but some people still abbreviate Super Saiyan to SSj, because they apparently think the -jin is still part of the word.
