Non-metal guns have been wholly illegal since the 80s. Don't know why anyone would act shocked about this now.

your point? every single gun has metal. and it's useless without ammo, which is also metal. simply using polymer in the design does not make it undetectable. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glock same thing happening with the liberator ITT, which coincidentally, goes out of the way to have detectable metal parts.

as a pistol, the design is 100% legal in the US.

Looks like that gun could fall under a few different interpretations of that detectable weapons law, but either way, glad to see they pulled the plans. Don't need these exploding in kids faces when they are left around the house loaded and are accidentally discharged.
