In the image i have provided you can see a part of it says Raid Depth of Darkness When Bungie uses the word "raid" here, do you think that they mean like a raid as in like World of Warcraft, or a raid sorta like a small team dungeon; 5-6 players? I would love to have both as an option truthfully. I love games that give me dungeons with only a few other people. But i also love games that give me tons of people in one raid. So i would be happy with both. What do you think? Raid and dungeons A raid/dungeon full of 10+ people would be awesome. Think, you go to a enemy base on Mars and you automatically seamlessly encounter around 5-20 more players that you need to complete this raid. My big question is, how would Bungie handle the loot? And experience?

  • having very large groups of people fight against each other in the open world or in a dungeon/instance would both be cool; the open world would be the better setting however man I'm so sick of talking about this game without ever seeing more than is available to the public anyway; having the ability to take your enemy's weapon after killing them (like Halo) and fighting over strategically placed weapons both should have some place in Destiny there damn well better be certain planets/moons that are largely dedicated to establishing vast open world battlegrounds that instill a Risk-like (the board game) tendency for immensely large groups of people to have long standing battles over territory think of old Halo 2 games that had overtime sequences that made the games last super long (multiflag game tied with both teams possessing the other's flag on Coagulation for example) ; while this often became bothersome, occasionally they led to the most epic drudge matches ever imagine having that type of thing happen over a vast landscape; it needs to happen there needs to be certain power weapons available in these landscapes that will be dropped by the player upon death no matter what; controlling the sniper rifle on Coagulation was the paramount of gaming for me thus far, and I want to take that concept to the next level somehow as for instances such as caves/dungeons/forts such as what is seen in elder scrolls/fallout 3; going through those solo is often the best approach. here is a possible spin on this, give people control of their own instance so that they can operate how imposing players will be attacked when they enter upon that instance. for example let them control what pathways the enemies (robots) patrol and so on. having said this I am not necessarily hoping to see instances in Destiny, it should be an open world in all possible applications. try and stick to the open world as much as possible, but if this is to be deviated from please provide a topic with more information for me to provide insight besides all this commentary, I am truly tired of having not seen what the game looks like right now. I want to see the process of changing this game into something extraordinary (not saying it isn't already) I know video games (mostly) for how they are at their finished product, but I want to start learning more about the process of their creation

    • I still think it'll be limited to 6 people. Action games can't handle much more than that without sacrificing the action part and turing into WoW with guns. That said, here's an example: You encounter a Fallen fleet scavenging the ruined shipyards above Jupiter. The raid initially starts as a space battle, with the players fighting off the supporting fighters to get at the Fallen Cruiser. With it's forces defeated, the Cruiser flees into the wreckage. An intense space battle in close debris ensues, with the players seeking to disable the large guns and landing on board. They fight their way through the ship to the command bridge, where they find a Fallen lieutenant manning the helm. The Captain has escaped into the nearby wreckage! The players hunt him down, fighting through some low/zero grav areas with a final fight taking place in a dangerous reactor room of a ancient human ship. The Captain activates the core and the players must defeat him within the time limit while attempting to vent the reactor cores to keep it from overloading.
