Edited by Raptor: 4/28/2013 4:52:27 PMHow would you win? Neither side is capable of achieving a strategic objective, a landing on either continent is literally impossible by both sides. They would be stopped immediately at the invasion site or just get bogged down in whatever country they stupidly invade.

Edited by lonepaul2441: 4/28/2013 5:17:16 PMEuropes navy is concentrated and the American fleet is split between the Atlantic and the Pacific, Europe would be able to land a force in South America and Canada or even the US itself. Remember Canada is an ally of Britain and would choose its mother nation and commonwealth ally over America any day. Even if Canada doesn't fight America it would probably allow British or European Forces to travel through it's borders. Europe has a larger Navy than the US, sure only 3-4 of the European powers have ships that can match the US's but compared to the Atlantic fleet the EU navy would demolish it before the Pacific fleet can get anywhere close to reinforce it. It's not like countries have plans for this sort of thing, an invasion of the US is more likely than an invasion of Europe and the EU's combined military larger then the US's.

...How patriotically blinded you are. You would never be able to achieve anything in regards to a strategic objective if you invaded America from any side, and we wouldn't be able to it on your countries respectively. Our fleets our way more sophisticated and we don't need the numbers to beat you. We would just rally them from around the world and group them together before you "destroy" us. I would love to see the evidence other than numbers that you could beat the most advanced and sophisticated naval force in the world.
just rally them from around the world and group them together before you "destroy" us.
So lets see, a British ship goes on a 6 month tour which is to the Pacific and back so its 3 months each way. It would take less than a month to cross the Atlantic so "Rallying" isn't an option. Also how am I patriotically blind? Im not the one who is saying 1 country can beat a continent. Deployable Battle Force Ships: 283 Total Ships Deployed/Underway Ships Deployed: 93 (33%) Ships Underway for Local Ops / Training (USFF / 3rd Fleet) Ships Underway for Local Ops / Training (USFF / 3rd Fleet): 33 (11%) So at the moment the entire American fleet is split 50/50 in the Atlantic and Pacific so that is what? 140 ships in the Atlantic vs out of 600 commisioned ships about 230 are battle capable https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Military_of_the_European_Union#European_Naval_Forces The navy is also larger than America's navy so thats a good 100+ ships to take on the Atlantic fleet. So I would love to know how your Navy would even stand a chance against a more larger foe which by the way has 3-4 Aircraft carriers mixed it, nuclear subs as well as the worlds best AA-ships in the fleet. The Pacific fleet could attack Europe on it's way around but then how is the air arm of the navy going to compete with the Air force of Europe? Which by the way could fly to Iceland and Greenland to gain access to America.
