I think it's a great idea.
I know you said it wasn't part of the discussion, but I don't think you should have to register for marijuana, though.

My worry would be that companies would start to put addictive substances in the marijuana they sell. Sure, it's a nice occasional thing (imo), but not something I'd want to be addicted to.

Cannabis is a plant, unless they genetically altered it I don't see how they could add addictive substances. It's a bud that you break up and smoke.

That is a factor, but they may not put it in. Nobody really wants to smoke cigarettes most of the time, but there are many addictive substances in it that really makes you want to. Weed however, people like the feeling. You do have a legit concern, however you could always grow.

Very true, and I wouldn't be surprised if any dealers I knew would just keep growing or getting supplies anyway. It'd just now be a legal source of income, rather than having to be shady about it. But once again, even there, you have to be sure those dealers aren't spiking it with some substance, addictive or not.

You should always be careful you know exactly who is giving you your product.

Yea, imo weed should be used like cigarettes. Registration only is for the hardcore stuff. If you die doing it, that's on you. If you commit crimes, also on you but we have you on database.
