I watched something on the History Channel a long time ago about an army that invaded Europe in ancient times and went from village to village killing everyone. No one knows where they came from even today.
Is this ringing a bell to anyone?
edit: I was thinking of writing a report on it but it's getting late so I think I'll just go with Sparta. Thanks anyways guys. I'll leave this unanswered in case someone who knows sees it later. I don't think it was the Visigoths because the show I watched said the Army traveled from West to East, whereas the Visigoths traveled from East to West.

I have heard, at least in my Ancient Civilizations Honors class, of a "Sea People" that did as you say.

Would it be when the Mongols invaded Kievan Rus?
