I'm hoping for more powers than could be listed in a single thread, but here's what I would want the most:
Dash: A power similar to Biotic Charge from Mass Effect. Allows players to close the gap quickly. Drain: Can be spec'd to either drain Health, Shields, or Energy from enemies. Fortify: Drains your energy reserves over time to increase shield capacity.
Those are the main powers I would want, as I plan on playing a CQC Warlock, and those powers offer a high level of survivability in close-quarters encounters.

 • I'd rather fortify be an adjustable insta cast that lets you choose how much shield you want to add, with a 1:1 ratio between "mana" and shields. That would be by far the coolest ability added into a game ever, especially if it were an area spell with respectable radius.

 • I hadn't thought about it too much, but I agree. That would be the coolest power ever to come into existence.

 • the drawback would be that it would be 1:1 for each shield point added to each person, so if you had six people inside the area and it was set to add 50 points of shield, you'd be spending 300 mana to buff them all. It'd be the only way to balance such a spell.

 • I personally would spec the ability to be more of a self-buff, rather than an AoE party buff. That's solely because it would benefit my style of play more, but I see what you mean. A power like that would take a lot to balance.

 • But it WOULD be such a cool power. I'm personally a HUGE fan of power speccing, one of the reasons I loved the Mass Effect series, but being able to have full customization and mixing of powers would be a truly awesome experience. Imagine being able to Combine fortify and say a "fireball" ability that would either turn you into the human torch, or shoot a fireball that has added shield debuff, depending on which power you put first. Could you visualize some of the amazing combinations that could come from such a system. The possibilities would result in really unique and individually powerful characters, without taking away from the team experience.

 • As am I. Power-spec'ing is probably my favorite feature of Mass Effect series, and to see it in a game like Destiny would excite me beyond belief. I was saying that I would spec the power to benefit myself LARGELY, rather than giving a decent buff to everyone, as it would help my playstyle the most. As for that power combination idea, in concept it's a very cool idea, but I feel something like that would be unnecessary and too complicated. There's no need to be that excessive. Would it be completely awesome? Yes, but I would rather see Bungie dedicate there resources to other things, rather than provide us with some super-absurd power system, that we probably wouldn't see much of, because it would be too complicated to use.
