Gun control will never work.
If someone wants to, they will always be able to get a gun and use it for something illegal. Simply put. Guns at this point are so deeply embedded within america. That anyone who thinks that they have any chance at "Controlling" them. Needs a reality check.
What we are seeing now is politicians trying to polish up their public image in order to push their other agendas.
Gun control will never work.
16000 felons denied firearms through background checks. Your move.

Not an impressive number. For every one of those felons who was denied. How many do you think got guns by other means?
-
I don't know. Why don't you tell me?
-
I have no idea either. But I would bet money that its more than 16,000

Edited by Dustin: 4/6/2013 7:23:23 PM
ATF officials say that about 8% of the nation's 124,000 retail gun dealers sell the majority of handguns that are used in crimes. They conclude that these licensed retailers are part of a block of rogue entrepreneurs tempted by the big profits of gun trafficking. Cracking down on these dealers continues to be a priority for the ATF. What's needed, according to Wachtel, is better monitoring of the activities of legally licensed gun dealers. This means examining FFL paperwork to see where their guns are coming from, and making sure that those guns are being sold legally.
Regardless of how many criminals get guns, the measures taken are definitely working. Future gun control measures (that do not interfere with the gun owner) like the one above, could also make a bigger effect.

I think it should be obvious.

Where do guns from the black market come from? Criminals who run the black market can't grow guns like drug dealers can, so where do they get the guns?
-
A bunch of different places. Some can come in through the mexico border. A lot of them come from "clean" people who are legally allowed to purchase weapons. They would pay people good money to purchase weapons and ammunition for them.
