  • I actually thought Call of Duty 4 was quite a good game. It was still pretty obvious at that point that IW were hacks, but it was still a good game.

  • A lot of people thought 4 was good. Me, I couldn't stand the generic setting, the cliche, confusing story, and the colour-sapped look.

Don't even get me started on the abomination that was the multiplayer. One thing I will commend the game on: it was very slick and cinematic. The opening sequence was brilliant and shooting generic Russian villain at the end was, for a long time, the most cinematic moment in my gaming life. All Ghillied Up was one of the best levels of any of that sublime glut from 2007, including The Orange Box, BioShock and Halo 3.
