It's not a huge problem in first-world countries because we can keep up with adaptations, but it's crippling to poorer countries.
Pretty embarrassing that we still have people scared to get flu shots here with people dying from diseases that have supposedly already been cured in impoverished nations.

It was a comparison. 3rd-world countries don't have their own CDC working 24/7 on a treatment.

Oh its becoming a problem in wealthy nations especially with more people using antibacterial soaps and the easy availability of antibiotics. Just because a doctor in America or France prescribes antibiotics to a patient doesn't mean he'll/she'll follow the directions.
