technically i think this is earths second moon. of course, it is man(?)-made, in perfect geo synchronous orbit, and the definition of "moon" specifies natural....
and we cant just say second satellite because, well, this .
so what do say the traveller is?

My thoughts.

It is an UFO as of now but what I would like to know is how long its been there. From the commentary it seems most people have forgotten expect a handful occult type groups. Can't wait for the story to unravel.

I feel like it's not doing much orbiting a mere mile in the sky.

3 RepliesThe traveller might be the moon's core.. An alien spaceship protecting earth, hiding inside the moon...
-
3 RepliesToo low to be a geosynchronous orbit. geosynchronous orbits for earth are at 22,236 mi above sea level.

This is the Traveler. I think the traveler is a 'god' of some sort. A super artificial intelligence from the future with mystical powers.
-
2 RepliesI think it is an alien space ship because that is exactly what the lore is making it out to be.

1 Reply@ahelpfulhobo The moon still does exist; there is a least one official picture of the moon being cracked and broken by some major catastrophe. Sicron1417 is closer to the point. All we've been told is that one day in the future, the Traveler appeared and ushered in the Golden Age and helped us colonize the solar system. After the Collapse and the loss of the human colonies, the Traveler has protected one last city on Earth and given some of its power to the Guardians. For all we know, the Traveler could be an alien and the sphere is his ship; perhaps it's more like the Reapers of Mass Effect and the Traveler is the ship. Maybe the Traveler really is a god, albeit one with limited powers. We don't know. But I think we can rule out that it's man-made. We can plausibly deduce that it is artificial. But I don't believe it was manufactured by humans. I'm interested in why it appears incomplete or deconstructed on the underside. Is that natural? Has the Traveler always been like that? Or did it donate its own matter for human use? Or worse, did we forcibly take it from the Traveler? So many questions. Only time will tell.

6 RepliesFrom what we've heard about Earth's moon in Destiny is that it's been blown up and is only a fragment of what it used to be.

Weather balloon. Nothing to see here move along

Sanghelios has two moons... I guess Earth became jealous.

An alien protector that is probably recovering.
