There is no comparison to the release and infrastructure support of SimCity and Destiny. Different companies... different financial backing... different expectations. There will be 100x more players in the first week of destiny, then there will be in the entire existence of the recently released SimCity game.

  • I didn't mean to compare the two games beyond the fact that they both have required internet connections and thus could, in theory, have similar problems. I'm just curious as to whether the problems of SimCity and Diablo have made people wary to Destiny's required connection.

  • diablo was a content problem, not a connection problem. simcity is just a lack of capacity planning. Destiny will be on the front lines of a war and one of the few big fish to the table. Bungie and activision know the position they are in and what is at stake.
