I'm really considering picking up this game. I never played another Tomb Raider though, but this one really seems promising.

  • If you have played any Uncharted game and liked it. You will like this!

  • I wouldn't reccommend buying it. It's extremely linear, the multiplayer is subpar, so there is little replay value. I would just rent it from Redbox and beat it in 3-4 days and pay only like 6-8 bucks for it. That's what I'm doing at least. The story is amazing though, I just wouldn't pay 60 bucks for it. But hey, if you want to have it in your collection or money is no object, go for it.

  • You're probably the only one I seen so far who didn't "praise" it. That said, it do seem like a game which probably would be better to rent, if you have a week with alot of free time on your hands. I was only considering purchasing it to kill a bit of time here and there, and I wasn't exactly expecting it to have amazing replay value or good multiplayer. I still may buy it because (from what I hear) you can do a lot of exploring which I love, and I don't think I'll be able to do so and finish the story in about a week.

I don't know if I've gotten far enough, but from where I'm at in the game (about 2 hours in) there's not much exploration. I probably have to get a little farther in the game though. You should watch some video reviews for it, they say there are a lot of side dungeons and tombs and shit but I haven't seen any yet. So I'm sure I just need to get farther. But like I said, the game's story is really good and the environments are gorgeous. I'm really enjoying it, I just don't want to put down 60 bucks for it. (poor ass college student) I will probably beat the game in the next 2 days because I don't have class for the next 2 days, so I am probably going to end up paying like 8 bucks for it (Redbox charges 2 bucks per day), and that's a good deal because I doubt I would ever want to play it again after I beat it.

  • What part are you at? Later on there's tons of exploration.

  • There is a giant japanese samurai thing killing stuff. I fell into a room filled with rotting dead bodies and I ran away with wind everywhere.

  • Yeah, you have a long ways to go, i'm not even done with the main story and that mission was a long time ago. It gets much better.

  • I haven't played the other Tomb Raiders either. It's a great reboot.
